Description:
Freshpack is seeking an Electrician to join our team in a high-paced food manufacturing environment. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in compliance with electrical codes and food safety regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes (eg, NEC, local building codes).
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components in production lines, packaging equipment, conveyors, and utility systems (motors, pumps, VFDs, PLCs).
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and plant equipment.
- Assist with equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Maintain documentation of electrical systems and maintenance activities (eg, logbooks, CMMS).
- Collaborate with mechanical technicians and other departments during equipment troubleshooting and installations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
Shift
- 1st shift - 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday, some Saturdays as needed
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum 35 years of industrial electrical experience (preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment).
- Familiarity with 3-phase systems, control panels, PLCs, and automation equipment.
- PLC programming and Ladder Logic a plus.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician a plus.
- Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, and OSHA safety training preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Understanding of electrical diagrams, schematics, and PLC logic.
- Knowledge of food industry hygiene and sanitary design principles is a plus.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to document work effectively.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced food manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature variations, moisture, noise, and industrial equipment.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
