This company is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join their team. This position requires a proactive leader with strong technical acumen who can effectively manage maintenance tasks, ensure equipment reliability, and support production operations. The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling preventive maintenance, managing work orders, troubleshooting machinery, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Focus:

  • Supervise and support a team of maintenance personnel across multiple shifts in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and optimize efficiency.
  • Prioritize and assign work orders, ensuring timely execution and accurate documentation.
  • Diagnose and address equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures.
  • Uphold and enforce workplace safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal impact on production.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and necessary supplies to support maintenance operations.
  • Track maintenance performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Conduct employee training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to enhance team capabilities.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records, ensuring regulatory and compliance documentation is up to date.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
  • Facilitate clear communication across departments regarding maintenance plans and status updates.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members, ensuring a smooth transition into the department.

Skill Set:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree in a related field (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting techniques, and maintenance best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.
