Job Title: Mainframe Storage Engineer Duration: Long term
Location: Lakewood, CO (Onsite 5 days a week)
Note:
Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site all 5 days a week.
Position is open to any candidate within 50-mile radius from the eVault Data Centers (Lakewood, CO - outside of Denver proper)
Key Required Skills: z/OS, Time Sharing Option, Data Domain, Dell EMC DLm8500 systems, ISPF, InsightIQ, technical writing and Ansible playbooks.
Position Description: - Lead efforts in developing new strategies for operational efficiencies
- Work with applications teams and stakeholders as the platform technical lead
- Work with highly experienced and technical resources
- Assist technical leads in implementing systems and software updates
- Document processes, procedures and configurations
- Perform daily operations support functions, including problem isolation and resolution
- Provide status updates of task and project updates
- Provide system administration support
- Troubleshoot platform and application issues
- All other duties as assigned or directed
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- 7 years of experience or more as a Mainframe Storage Engineer.
- 7 years of experience with problem monitoring and engineering problem resolutions on virtual tape architectures.
- 5 years of experience with Dell/EMC, VSM, VLE and ZFS Virtual tape Libraries.
- 5 years of experience with IBM Job Control Language (JCL).
- 4 years of experience with CA-1 Tape Management System (TMS) and CA Vantage.
- 4 years of experience supporting Disaster Recovery planning, testing, monitoring and restoration for virtual tape storage systems
- 3 years of experience designing and building Storage Management System (SMS).
- 2 years of experience using Data Domain Management Center (DDMC)
- 2 years of experience using Time Sharing Option (TSO) on mainframe systems
- 2 years of experience with Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF).
- Expertise in the Linux command-line environment
Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site in Lakewood, CO 5 days a week.Required Skills: - Knowledge of z/OS.
- Experience using Time Sharing Option (TSO).
- Experience with Data Domain.
- Experience with Dell EMC DLm8500 systems.

- Ability to produce operational documentation using industry best practices in technical writing.
- Ability to gather process requirements to automate into Ansible playbooks
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated experience growing, maintaining, problem monitoring and engineer problem resolutions on virtual tape architectures.
- Experience with Cyber Recovery on virtual tape systems
- Demonstrated experience designing, installing, configuring, provisioning, and deploying storage hardware used in a multi-node storage architecture.
- Experience developing best practice project plans, engineering scripts, and documentation needed to migrate workloads to virtual tape.
- Prior Federal government experience
- Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts and isn't afraid to volunteer in a dynamic work environment
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities
Education: - Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
