Role Description: Perform schedule backup for all files including z/OS system data, master and user catalogs
• Perform routine backups with the help of Buyer's backup tools on a schedule approved by the Buyer
• Monitor the backup jobs for successful completion
• Schedule and perform restore test to verify backup data integrity
• Maintain z/OS backup process, also identify and enhance the procedures
• Update the Mainframe Backup and Recovery documentation when there are changes to the backup system
• Co-ordinate with application and business teams to maintain and update retention periods as required by the Buyer's business teams
• Define Storage tiering according to customers requirement
• Storage Catalog management
• Provide DASD and tape allocation support
• Administer and configure the storage parameters and Client routine management
• Provide support for restoration of datasets, new volume addition and increasing scratch tape count when required Competencies: IT IS AMS Mainframe CICS Administration
