Job Summary: - We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with strong integration testing expertise to join our dynamic team.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe development, as well as a solid understanding of integration testing processes and methodologies.
- This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality of our systems.
Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and MQ.
- Conduct system analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation of complex programs.
- Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform integration testing to ensure the seamless operation of mainframe applications with other systems.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for integration testing.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve defects and issues during the testing phase.
- Support data analysis, data migration, and rule mining, including the conversion of legacy code.
- Write scripts for data cleansing, formatting, and transformation.
- Coordinate with offshore teams to manage assignments, deliverables, and quality reviews.
- Ensure compliance with security and operational readiness standards for new system implementations.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a mainframe developer with expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and MQ.
- Strong knowledge of integration testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with data analysis, data migration, and rule mining.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills: - Experience with open systems technology such as SQL Server, SSIS, or other ETL tools.
- Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops, roles/security, and access management.
- Familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce or other SaaS payroll systems.
