RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience using ALGOL and COBOL as their primary programming languages, and work within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
- Experience in IQU/COBOL coding.
- Provide support controlling, diagnosing, and resolving difficult problems that arise due to incorrect ECL coding/programming techniques.
- Experience with LOUIS, DMS etc.
- Experience using a Windows-based personal computer workstation and the MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word), Internet browsers, Mainframe Terminal Emulation Software, and ITSM ticketing software.
- Provide real-time accurate monitoring and troubleshooting of multiple mainframe systems and applications.
- Experience with DB2 Z/OS, DB2 LUW, IMDB, etc., database backups, unloading data, and database mapping.
- Experience in tape service support for external tape systems in the z/OS Mainframe environment, including tape movement from silo to silo and preparing/updating tape administration documentation.
- Thorough understanding of zOS and/or Client based Database systems.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise storage technologies (SAN/NAS)
- SME of data archiving technologies, such as tape, optical and hierarchical storage management (HSM) systems.
