Akkodis is seeking a
Mainframe Developer for a
contract job with a client in
Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid) . The ideal candidate will have experience in working with mainframe technologies and a strong background in
COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM. Rate Range: $53.03 to $68.18/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Mainframe Developer job responsibilities include: - Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
- Develop and manage Job Control Language (JCL) scripts for batch processing.
- Work with DB2 databases for data retrieval and management.
- Develop and maintain online transaction processing using CICS.
- Manage and utilize VSAM datasets for efficient data storage and access.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Desired Qualifications: - 8 to 10 years of experience in mainframe development.
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
