SUMMARY:Responsible for the overall repair and maintenance of all financial machines including CXCs and currency counters under the direction of the Machine Tech Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Handles floor repair and proper preventive maintenance of all financial machines, including cleaning machines, overhauls, etc.
- Handles the initial set-up and testing of all cash dispensing machines.
- Assists in the breakdown, relocation and re-setup of machines and stands.
- Assists in ensuring machine integrity when jams and failures occur.
- Maintains current knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as property internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Processes the necessary paperwork for auditing and data processing purposes for the initial setup and checkout of new cash dispensing machines.
- Keeps accurate count and placement of machines on the floor, matching the units licensed.
- Maintains records of all percentage sheets as required by the Gaming Commission and/or Finance Department.
- Maintains currency counters and dispensers.
- Brings disputes and unusual guest activities to the attention of the shift manager.
- Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or general education diploma (G.E.D.) preferred and one year ATM or casino tech experience. Electronics degree preferred.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:Must possess effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate. Some college accounting courses preferred. Prior warehouse and receiving experience required.
This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to leverage technical expertise to fully understand and meet the finance department's technical and reporting needs and requirements. Ability to develop and maintain a strong relationship with casino technical staff. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. Ability to specify and develop queries/reports using a range of software. Ability to think logically and follow detailed instructions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. A casino environment is typically smoky.
