Machine Shop Technician Job Location: Fairfield, California Pay Rate: $20-$21/hour Job Type: Temporary Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm Description of Position: Are you looking for a new assignment and open to a temporary position? Our client is seeking a reliable and dependable Machine Shop Technician to join their team. If you are familiar with operating machining and cutting tools, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. Key responsibilities include: Safely operate machining and cutting tools, such as table saws, drill presses, milling machines, belt/disc sanders, and various hand tools. Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs unassisted. Identify potential safety hazards and needed repairs on production equipment. Perform general preventative maintenance and routine repairs on equipment and machinery. Follow facility safety protocols, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures. Occasionally work overtime or weekends when needed. Experience Required: An ideal Machine Shop Technician should have: Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Knowledge of general maintenance and repair procedures for machines and tools. Attention to detail and the ability to follow safety and production protocols. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
