We are looking for reliable, hardworking people to work in a fast paced automated machinery/assembly role on a Night Shift, on a rotation between 3 and 4 nights. You do not need experience but you must be able to learn quickly, follow instruction and have good dexterity skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a temporary, on-going position.
The working hours are Monday to Wednesday 7pm until 7.15am/ Monday to Thursday 7pm until 07.15am
Pay : £15.51 per hour
Role Overview:
As an Assembly and Test Technician Level 2, you will play a key role in assembling and testing complex mechanical and electrical components and systems. You will report directly to the Assembly and Test Supervisor and help ensure high-quality, reliable products are delivered to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test mechanical and electrical systems and components.
- Operate automated machinery, including setup, loading, unloading, and stacking.
- Follow defined procedures and adhere to quality and safety standards.
- Identify and resolve defects or issues during assembly and testing.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
- Collaborate with other teams to improve processes and efficiency.
Requirements:
- No experience required, but a background in manufacturing is desirable.
- Quick learner with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Basic computer skills for operation and record-keeping.
- Comfortable working with materials including glues, gases, carbon dust, ink, fibreglass, and potting compounds.
- Must be able to work standing for long periods there are no seated roles.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory (gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.).
