We are a cutting-edge robotics startup looking for exceptional engineers.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Machine Learning/ Computer vision/ Perception Engineer with a strong background in Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models for robot manipulation. As a key member of our team, you will help design, train, and deploy advanced computer vision and perception models that enable robots to interpret visual and language-based commands and perform complex tasks autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models for robotic manipulation tasks, enabling robots to understand and act on multimodal inputs (vision, language, and action).
  • Hands-on experience in training and deploying deep computer vision/perception models, ensuring high accuracy and real-time performance for robotics applications.
  • Work with synthetic and simulation data to train models, leveraging these data sources to optimize robotic performance in diverse environments and tasks.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to build and deploy state-of-the-art robotic systems.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of training pipelines, data generation, and model evaluation strategies for robotics systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with robot manipulation, including grasping, object recognition, and task execution.
  • Hands-on experience with deep learning, especially in training vision-based models for robot perception.
  • Experience working with synthetic data and simulation environments (e.g., using tools like Gazebo, Unity, or similar) for model training and testing.
  • Familiarity with reinforcement learning and other techniques used to optimize robotic behavior in real-world tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and a passion for pushing the boundaries of robotics and AI.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with humanoid robot design and control.
  • Experience with multimodal AI systems (vision + language) and their application to robotics.
  • Previous work in a startup or similar dynamic environment.

Why Join Us:

  • Be a part of an innovative team working on groundbreaking robotics technology.
  • Opportunity to grow within a fast-moving startup in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Competitive salary and equity options.
