Your Role and Responsibilities - Conduct research, design, and implement cutting-edge machine learning and signal processing solutions in the realm of speech and audio.
- Develop production-ready ML inference pipelines and APIs, working closely with cross-functional collaborators.
- Design and maintain robust systems for model inference, evaluation, and performance tracking.
- Lead ML projects from initial proof-of-concept through to deployment, influencing both the product roadmap and architecture.
- Work collaboratively with operations and data teams to gather essential training and evaluation data, enhancing model quality.
- Drive infrastructure and research initiatives to ensure model accuracy, performance, and scalability.
Ideal Candidate Profile - A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in machine learning, with at least 2 years specifically directed toward audio/speech ML or DSP algorithm development.
- Proven track record managing ML pipelines from end-to-end, encompassing production deployment and post-launch enhancements.
- Prior software development experience of at least 1 year prior to specializing in ML.
- Experience in speech or audio research, especially in applying ML models to real-world signal processing challenges.
- A history of growth and performance excellence in previous roles (e.g., promotions, leadership contributions).
- A strong academic background from a prestigious university or a research-oriented program.
Preferred Qualifications - Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, emphasizing signal processing or ML.
- Experience in training generative AI or speech recognition models.
- Expertise in both classical signal processing techniques and modern ML methodologies.
- Familiarity with production systems leveraging cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Adept at translating research insights into high-quality code and innovative products.
- Understanding of how to align technical quality with user experience and product value.
