Maître D' - Guest Experience

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced and polished Maître D' to be the face of a high-end lounge and lead the guest experience. This role is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming environment, managing reservations and walk-ins, and coordinating smooth service flow between front-of-house and back-of-house teams. The ideal candidate brings a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, managing the flow of reservations, VIPs, and walk-ins
- Maintain and oversee the reservation system, including managing waitlists and optimal table assignments
- Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure efficient seating rotation and timely service
- Cultivate relationships with regulars and VIP guests, anticipating their preferences
- Address and resolve guest concerns with poise and discretion
- Ensure the host area and lounge entrance are clean, organized, and aligned with ambiance standards
- Train, mentor, and support host staff as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Maître D', Head Host, or similar front-of-house leadership role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance with a polished, guest-focused demeanor
- Strong ability to multitask and maintain grace under pressure
- Flexible and dependable availability, including evenings and weekends
