Job Title: M365 Engineer & Help Desk Support Engineer

Location: Plano, TX


Position Overview:

Splendid Technology Services is seeking an experienced M365 Engineer & Help Desk Support Engineer to join our team in Plano, TX. This hands-on position offers autonomy in managing daily priorities and requires strong technical skills, particularly in M365 and infrastructure support. A background in communications technology is helpful but not required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • M365 Management: Lead the deployment, configuration, and optimization of Office 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Migration: Plan and execute migrations to Office 365 from on-premises systems or other platforms.
  • Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and security within the M365 environment.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and resolve issues related to M365 applications and services.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure M365 implementations adhere to security policies and compliance standards.
  • Microsoft Technologies: Administer Microsoft Server technologies (Active Directory, Windows Server, Desktop Engineering) and Exchange migrations/updates.
  • Network Admin: Perform basic network administration tasks including user management, rights assignments, and password resets.
  • Hardware Support: Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software (workstations, servers, enterprise equipment).
  • Project Management: Lead small to medium-sized infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to structured methodologies.
  • Field Service & Client Support: Provide on-site support and handle service requests via tickets and emails in a timely manner.
  • Infrastructure Planning: Plan and install network infrastructure, ensuring optimal cabling and system layouts.

Other Duties:


  • Provide field service support at customers' site when needed.
  • Follow corporate safety policies and participate in safety training and goals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and encourage coworkers to do the same.
  • Support the implementation of company initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in deploying and managing Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills, particularly with Office 365 applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server technologies (Active Directory, Exchange, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in network administration and hardware support.
  • Basic networking skills (TCP/IP, AD, DNS, DHCP).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining service level agreements.
  • Knowledge of emerging network technologies and the ability to recommend new tools.
  • Strong customer support, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Previous experience with ConnectWise Manage (a plus).


Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (2+ years relevant experience), OR 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Certifications: Preferred - Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert. Cisco certifications a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be located in the DFW area.
  • Some travel is required for client installations and technical support.
