Position: M&A Integration and Continuous Improvement Manager

We are seeking an experienced M&A Integration and Continuous Improvement Manager to lead the seamless integration of acquired businesses while improving the overall operational performance of existing and new branches within our organization. This role will focus on creating and executing integration plans that align with our strategic objectives, ensuring that acquired entities are fully and efficiently integrated into our operations, culture, and systems and best in class continuous improvement and problem-solving skills are utilized/taught across the Business Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, change management, and continuous improvement to drive efficiencies and optimize integration processes. As an M&A Integration and Continuous Improvement Manager, you will work closely with senior leadership and functional teams to streamline/optimize processes, enhance synergies, and ensure the long-term success of our acquisitions and existing businesses.
Responsibilities:- Be fully informed on EDG M&A pipeline for the deals at/beyond LOI stage
- Develop a deep understanding of the business case and diligence work, along with key opportunity and risk areas ahead of a given integration
- Ensure integration project plan appropriately incorporates all the key elements from the business case and due diligence
- Utilize standardized EDG M&A integration playbook- create a site/branch specific integration project plan clearly outlining, workstreams, workstream leaders, tasks with due dates/owners along with interdependencies, resource requirements and integration KPIs aligned with business case targets
- Lead cross functional M&A integration project meetings at appropriate cadence in a teamwork environment
- Work in close collaboration with workstream leaders while helping/resolving issues with hands-on problem-solving approach and escalating to senior leadership as needed
- Provide on-site operational support to team members of newly acquired sites to ensure they are implementing EDG best practices and standard approaches
- Recognize any risks to meet/exceed business case targets and take decisive action to mitigate risks early, reducing/eliminating bottlenecks
- Establish and execute a communication strategy that clearly captures and communicates the status/progress of the integration work and the performance against business case to all stakeholders
- Be an expert/champion with regards to Culligan Strategy Deployment Process (SDP) and utilizing both SDP tools and Lean, Process Mapping/Optimization, Kaizen and Problem-solving skill set provide on-site support to drive sustainable improvement on focus branches. The potential areas of focus, not all inclusive, are:
- Accelerating productivity/efficiency throughout the value stream with regards to all cost elements
- Driving customer focused improvements in the Customer Service, Technical Service and Sales functions resulting in improved Net Promoter Scores (NPS)
- Improving the process to identify, develop, teach/coach and upgrade Operations Talent
- Supporting and/or identifying other branch generated operational leverage
- Identify & develop plans for Lean and CI to be more broadly leveraged across the region.
- Be an expert on key Lean Management and Operational Excellence practices/tools and grow overall EDG continuous improvement capabilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Business Management or Finance or similar professional experience
- 15+ years combined M&A integration and boots on the ground Lean Management/Operational Excellence implementation experience in multi-branch high pace operational environment
- Hands on project management skills leading/driving simultaneous complex, multi workstream initiatives
- In depth experience with utilizing/teaching various Lean Management/Operational Excellence tools
- In depth change management experience in a multi business unit and multi-branch fast pace environment
- Proven skill in converting detailed project work and financial outcomes into digestible presentations tailored both for field teams and BU Leadership/Board level as needed
- Proven track record for developing, training, and coaching employee teams in a continuous improvement environment
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills with appropriate balance between coaching and hands on/direct support working style
