Salary Range: $57,500 to $72,000 based on experience

Position Summary

This position will work with the Corporate Development team to evaluate and execute M&A opportunities. The role will work closely with other departments within the organization including Fleet Services, Human Resources, Finance/Accounting and Legal. The position provides significant exposure to the company's C-Suite and business unit leaders.

Based in KAG's North Canton, Ohio headquarters, the Corporate Development Analyst will report directly to the Senior Manager, Corporate Development.

The position may require some travel, as needed.

Essential Functions
  • Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities for strategic fit
  • Maintain internal CRM systems and pipeline reports
  • Conduct preliminary valuation analyses on potential target companies
  • Monitor data rooms and facilitate efficient information sharing with key stakeholders
  • Review diligence materials and assist with deal execution process
  • Utilize project management tools to track various diligence and integration milestones
  • Support M&A integration with post-close reporting and consolidation matters
  • Prepare materials for quarterly board meetings and monthly pipeline reports presented to investors
  • Assist with ad-hoc reports and long-term strategic initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant finance, accounting, or transactional experience
  • General understanding of key accounting principles and financial models
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Solid organizational and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Team-player with willingness to learn about the company and the transportation and logistics industry
  • Ambitious nature with a high sense of integrity
