Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is currently hiring a PRN LPN for our Resident Clinic. Our Resident Clinic LPN provides support to clinic providers, marketing, and human resources while modeling our core values of respect, passion, and professionalism. Provides nursing services to our residents and team members that promote joy and well-being. Serves in the role of emergency nurse for the community during clinic hours. Represents the clinic on teams, communities, and Opus activities. Checks in patients for appointments by obtaining vital signs, reviewing medication and history, performing MIPS requirements Performs EKG, bladder scan, blood sugar, protime, nebulizer treatments, and covid/flu test Schedules specialist appointments and tests as ordered by providers Authorizes medication refills for primary care patients Monitors census for hospital and Hoy SNF discharges and ensures 7-day transitional care appointments are scheduled Performs UAI and MOCA assessments Provides wound care per providers orders Conducts marketing and final clearance interviews and provides feedback to team Performs pre-employment drug screening, PPD, and fit test Conducts insurance checks for the administration of Prolia Assist in planning and participating in annual influenza vaccine clinics for team members and residents Assesses injured team members and refers to panel physicians for workman's comp Responds to emergencies on campus during clinic hours and shares emergency report with resident review team Conducts Annual Medicare Wellness Visits Participates in Chronic Care Management assignments Attends community or team meetings to represent the clinic Provides input on resident to Resident Review Team What do I need for this role? Current, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of VA (or compact license) At least 1-year experience in an outpatient Clinic or Physician's Office Strong verbal, written, and telephone etiquette skills required Customer service experience required Desire and willingness to work with elderly population Experience with Electronic Health Record
