Clinical duties will include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics or medical information including review of medication list, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment and stocking supplies. This position will involve the administration of medications.

Job Summary MA III A Medical Assistant III for CoxHealth Ozark Pediatrics assists with providing physical, emotional and social health care to children from birth to young adulthood under the direction of a provider. A Medical Assistant III performs administrative duties that include, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in a medical records under the direct supervision of a supervisor or provider. Clinical duties will include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics or medical information including review of medication list, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood as directed by provider, VFC coordinator, knowledge of pharmacy and insurance ordering in the event of the LPN s absence, vaccine temperature logs, cleaning rooms and equipment and stocking supplies. This position will involve the administration of medications.
Job Requirements MA III - Education
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Graduated from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship.

- Preferred: Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people
- Preferred: Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting
