Logistics Specialist Job Category: Logistics Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US CACI is looking for a Logistics Specialist supporting our DoD customer to implement an enterprise IT service delivery model that provides consistent, secure, high-quality, and cost-effective services to enable mission success and improve end user experience across the customer environment. As the new Logistician for the Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program, you'll be the linchpin in our mission to implement a cutting-edge, enterprise-wide IT service delivery model. You'll ensure our DoD customer receives consistent, secure, and cost-effective services that enhance mission success and user experience. This position requires autonomous problem-solving skills with an ability for identifying and resolving inventory and shipping issues independently and communicating with the DAF and EITaaS teams. On this program, CACI will deliver enhanced capabilities and services to implement and operate an enterprise ITSM solution, enterprise service desk, endpoint management and security solution, as well as CONUS/OCONUS field support and life cycle support for end user devices to enable the DoD customer to transition focus from IT operations to mission operations. As a Logistician, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between various departments within the Department of the Air Force (DAF) and the EITaaS Wave 1 team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure effective communication and collaboration between different stakeholders, enabling a proactive and comprehensive approach to the coordination, packing, freight, and deployment of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and other procured equipment. Your main focus will be building a hardware inventory, coordinating hardware refreshes and shipping parts & equipment to the field. Work with the EITaaS Logistics department and DAF stakeholders to ensure hardware is tracked, maintained, and accounted for throughout their lifecycle per DAF policy. What You'll Get to Do: Support the Inventory and Accountability of IT assets in CACI facilities and remote bases
Prepare required forms for shipping, receiving, and transferring equipment
Coordinate and process EITaaS equipment for excess or disposal according to DAF policy
Perform full asset inventories and maintain accurate equipment accounts
Load new Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) into the DAF Approved Property System of Record (APSR)
Conduct regular audits per EITaaS and DAF policy
Assist in preparing discrepancy reports and support recurring inventory audits
Receive shipments, investigate and provide theft/loss notifications to DAF
Follow up with base end users to ensure proper documentation and asset accountability
Ensure proper labeling and tagging of all IT Assets
Place orders for new devices or replacement hardware
Coordinate with shipping/freight vendors, utilizing LTL freight when necessary
Package and ship IT assets to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required
Track and report on all software, hardware, and licenses in accordance with DAF policies. You'll Bring These Qualifications: Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor's Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data
Ability to read and interpret management policy, Standard operating procedures, regulations, and directives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Products, especially Microsoft Excel
Experience with Government IT systems and asset management tools
Ability to work effectively with a group or independently.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and wear different hats
