Job Summary:
We're a growing logistics brokerage seeking our first Sales Manager to lead and scale a team of 5-7 Account Executives. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with 3PL experience (broker background preferred) who's passionate about coaching, driving performance, and closing big deals.
As the Sales Manager, you'll play a key role in hiring, training, and developing reps of varying experience levels-while contributing directly to revenue through strategic sales and enterprise deal support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and develop a team of entry to mid-level Account Executives
- Customize coaching to each rep's experience and learning style
- Hold reps accountable to performance goals through KPIs and regular 1:1s
- Provide hands-on sales support-call coaching, follow-up strategy, lead assignments
- Assist in closing enterprise deals and landing new shippers
- Collaborate with leadership to refine sales processes and drive team growth
- Be available after hours as needed-logistics is a 24/7 business
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in 3PL sales or brokerage (experience as a broker is a big plus)
- Proven success leading or mentoring a sales team
- Strong coaching, performance management, and communication skills
- Experience closing enterprise freight deals
- Proficient with CRMs, lead gen tools (e.g., ZoomInfo), and KPI tracking
- Must be onsite in St. Louis
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $75,000
- Year 1 OTE: $100K+ (uncapped as team revenue grows)
