Long-term contract opportunity (minumum two years) working on a Data Centre project in South Wales.
Experienced Logistics Manager required with a background working in the engineering, construction or utilties sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Manage movement and storage of M&E equipment
- Plan, coordinate and oversee logistics activities on site, including ordering and delivery of materials
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and site personnel to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials
- Manage the logistics team, ensuring high performance and adherence to policies, project requirements, safety legislation etc
- Create logistics plans and schedules to ensure project deliverables are met
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of project-critical materials and equipment
- Carry out regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety
- Resolve any logisitcs issues that may arise in a timely manner
- Use Datascope to book deliveries, cranes, hoists etc
- Use Datatouch for lookaheads, to plan where materials will be stored on site and for just-in-time delivery process
- Attend logisitcs meetings
