Description
- Inventory Management: Ensure that raw materials and finished goods are available at the right time, balancing stock levels to prevent both shortages and overstock.
- Supplier and Vendor Relationships: Coordinate with international suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the timely delivery of materials or goods.
- Freight Coordination: Oversee the transportation of goods across countries, managing shipping routes, transit times, and choosing the best methods (air, sea, land).
- Customs Compliance: Ensure that all products comply with international trade regulations, including tariffs, import/export restrictions, and documentation required by customs authorities.
- Carrier Management: Negotiate contracts and work closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and couriers.
Profile
The successful candidate will have experience leading and overseeing warehouse personnel, have strong logistics skills in regards to carrier management and customs compliance, and be able to implement cost savings initiatives around transportation.
