Our client is currently seeking a Logistics / Inventory Support Specialist We are seeking a skilled Logistics/Inventory Support professional to join our team in Springfield, VA. This role demands a highly organized individual with deep experience in managing government property and supporting operational logistics in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position requires an active Secret or Top Secret clearance. This position is fully on-site in Springfield, VA. This position is supporting the State Department. This job will have the following responsibilities: Ensure compliance with requirements for acquisition, receipt, use, transfer, and disposition of U.S. Government property across domestic and overseas offices.
Manage and report incidents of missing, damaged, or destroyed assets, coordinating replacements with vendors.
Conduct physical inventory checks across all domestic annexes and monthly spot-check inventories.
Administer asset lifecycle processes, including record accuracy, disposal, and adherence to NSA disposal guidelines.
Maintain electronic records in the Warehouse MS Access database and cross-referenced hardcopy transaction records for all inventory movements.
Process excess domestic equipment and ensure accurate entries into ILMS and CMlite systems.
Implement safety standards for warehouse operations as directed by local regulations or Boston Properties.
Approve stock replenishment orders and screen excess property from other posts for redistribution purposes.
Oversee spare parts management, including issuing, receiving, and ensuring the salvage or appropriate disposal of used components. Qualifications & Requirements: Active and current Secret federal security clearance.
5+ years of experience in high-performance teams within an information technology environment.
Strong knowledge of material management, inventory control, property records, and reporting systems like ILMS and CMlite.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills, capable of interfacing with domestic and overseas employees to maintain compliance and operational effectiveness.
