Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Management

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the flow of goods and reduce transportation costs
• Oversee supply chain processes to improve efficiency and shorten lead times
• Negotiate and manage service contracts with logistics providers
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers
• Identify opportunities for route optimization and cost savings

Trade Compliance

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global import/export laws, customs regulations, and trade sanctions
• Create and manage company-wide compliance policies and procedures
• Ensure regulatory adherence across product categories (e.g., CE, UK/CA, Prop 65)
• Oversee import/export documentation, customs filings, and licensing
• Partner with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to resolve issues
• Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments

Risk Management

• Identify and address risks in trade and logistics operations
• Implement contingency plans and insurance coverage for shipments

Cost Control

• Monitor logistics and compliance spend to ensure cost-effectiveness
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving opportunities

Reporting & Analysis

• Generate performance, compliance, and cost analysis reports
• Present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in logistics and trade compliance
• Strong understanding of international trade laws and customs procedures
• Proven ability to manage teams and vendor relationships
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Experience with logistics/compliance software systems
• Trade compliance certification (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist, Licensed Customs Broker) preferred
