We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Administrator for our client in Winston Salem, NC. This is a fully on-site position where you will be coordinating import/export activities, communicating with international partners, managing inventory and executing contracts. We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills, strong organizational skills, is familiar with Incoterms, tariff codes and has strong Excel skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the global movement of metals by land, sea, and air, liaising with freight forwarders and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments.
- Draft and process sales and purchase contracts based on terms agreed by traders.
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments using Excel and other tools, maintaining accurate inventory logs and reconciling inventory with warehousing partners.
- Work closely with trading counterparts to coordinate schedules, document flow, contract execution, and shipment releases.
- Monitor shipment milestones to ensure prompt delivery, maintain logs, and escalate delays proactively.
- Support the finance team by tying up accounts after goods are sold - checking incoming freight and warehouse invoices, validating data, and preparing documentation for posting and payments and invoices.
- Use Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiently to manage data entry, contract templates, internal reports, and customer/vendor communications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred not essential (Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field)
- At least 3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, import/export, or supply chain required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (pivot tables/VLOOKUP required)
- Good mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, accountable, and solution-focused mindset
Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
