LHH is seeking a LOGISTICS ADMIN (Inside Sales Coordinator) for a direct hire position in Houston, TX.

Position: LOGISTICS ADMIN (Inside Sales Coordinator)
Employment Type: contract-to-hire
Location: 100% onsite (Houston, TX77058)
Compensation: $25-27/hr DOE
Work Schedule: M-F, 8:30 am-5 pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle customer accounts and provide excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate and fulfill orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Assist the outside sales team with administrative tasks.
  • Be available for customer calls and inquiries.
  • Learn and manage rates, quotes, and the matrix system.
  • Use Microsoft Outlook and other basic Microsoft Office tools.

Formal Job Description

The Inside Sales Coordinator will be responsible for developing quotes and providing customer service support to Outside Sales Representatives. Key job functions include:
  • Preparing quotations to direct customers and the organization.
  • Negotiating rates and conditions of suppliers in coordination with the Commercial Manager.
  • Administering all quotations and services in the company's systems.
  • Maintaining statistics of offers and performance of customers and carriers/suppliers.
  • Communicating arrangements with customers and suppliers to other departments.
  • Providing customer service and preparing commercial proposals, contracts, and quotes.
  • Maintaining data in the company system.
  • Assisting outside sales representatives in preparing business plans.
  • Supporting internal and external sales and marketing matters.
  • Handling commercial presentations and reporting processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and international requirements of ISO tank containers/Flexitanks.
  • Working with colleagues, managers, and corporate staff to maintain business plans.
  • Complying with departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Preparing necessary regulatory rate filings with the Federal Maritime Association.
  • Implementing and controlling statistical techniques.
  • Handling other special projects as assigned.

Experience Requirements
  • Preferred international logistic experience in bulk liquid containers.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in logistics.
  • Strong computer business application skills with Excel and Word.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • IT/systems knowledge.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work with outside sales teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and basic Microsoft Office tools.


Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
