Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalists for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Lufkin, Texas beginning this July.

This is a high-functioning program at a respected 271-bed hospital, offering day and night block schedules with manageable patient volumes, full APP and Intensivist support, and no procedures required. Whether you're looking for consistent monthly shifts or a flexible schedule to complement your lifestyle, this assignment offers both structure and autonomy.

• Contract Type: Locum Tenens - Hospital Medicine

• Facility Type: 271-Bed Acute Care Hospital

• ICU: 24-Bed Open ICU

• Start Date: July 2025 - Ongoing

• Shift Options:

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

• Hospitalist Model:

  • 4 Day Physicians + 1 APP

  • 1 Nocturnist Coverage

  • APP: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

• Census & Admissions:

  • Day: 18-20 patient census 15 average daily admits (round robin)

  • Night: 8 average admits

• Call Requirement: None

• Procedures: Not Required

• Code Response: Yes, with RRT team Intensivist + EM backup

• EMR: Paragon

• Credentialing Timeframe: Expedited options available

• Travel & Lodging: Covered

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certification: ABIM or ABFM

• Licensure: Active TX License & Unrestricted DEA

• Certifications: BLS & ACLS (Required)

• Experience: 2+ years recent inpatient hospitalist experience

• Minimum Commitment: 6+ shifts per month
