About The Position

Gastroenterology Locums Opportunity in Iowa

Highlights

• No supervision of APPs required
• 7-10 set days per month

Practice Setting

• Inpatient-only service with adult patients
• Collaborate with a team of 5 GIs and 5 APPs
• Full anesthesia support (no CRNAs)
• Full hospital and clinic teams for support

Schedule

• Assignments typically run Friday to Friday, 7am-7am
  • Choose 7-10 days/month that fit your calendar
  • Daily OR block reserved for procedures
  • Full-day orientation provided before your first shift
  • 24-hour call coverage during scheduled week

Procedures and Cases

• Handle general GI and ERCP cases (EUS a plus but not required)
• Case mix includes consults, procedures, and inpatient call coverage

Requirements

• BC in Gastroenterology required
• Must hold IA license or active IMLC LOQ
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications required
• Must have at least 2 years of experience

Travel and Lodging

• Travel and lodging is required
