About The Position

Neonatology Locums with Flexible Scheduling in CA

Join a supportive Neonatology team in Modesto where consistent shifts, minimal deliveries, and a low-acuity patient mix make for a manageable and rewarding assignment.

Practice Setting

• Level III NICU caring for moderately complex cases
• Employed neonatologist team supported by NPs
• OB team handles deliveries unless complications arise
• Locum only steps in for extra coverage during NP absences

Schedule

• 14 shifts per month across a mix of days and nights
• Commitment is 2 weeks/month-consecutive not required
  • Choose from three shift types
  • Day Short shift includes pager coverage after rounds

Procedures and Cases

• Moderate-level care, including IVs, ventilation, and prematurity
• Critical neonates are transferred out
• Rare need to attend deliveries

Requirements

• Active California medical license
• Board Certification in Neonatology
• PALS certification required
• At least 1 year of experience in NICU setting

Travel and Lodging

• Travel and lodging arrangements are provided
