About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician for a 40-day locum tenens position at a hospital in Mississippi. Starting 06/02/2025, this role involves working 8-hour clinic shifts with potential weeknight call and weekend call coverage. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing high-risk pregnancies, including but not limited to twins and diabetes cases. Responsibilities include reviewing ultrasounds for Anatomy Scans, BPP, and Growth Scans. Occasional assistance with normal deliveries during on-call hours may be required. This position uses Epic EMR and requires an active Mississippi medical license. There is also potential for extension and additional days beyond the initial 40-day period. Apply today.

Schedule: 8-hour clinic shifts, weeknight call possible, 24-hour weekend call (1-2 weeks/month)

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage high-risk pregnancies, including multiple gestations and diabetic patients

• Review and interpret ultrasounds for Anatomy Scans, Biophysical Profiles (BPP), and Growth Scans

• Provide expert consultation on complex obstetric cases

• Collaborate with OB/GYN team for patient care

• Assist with normal deliveries when on call (rare occurrence)

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments

• Develop and implement treatment plans for high-risk pregnancies

• Educate patients and families on managing high-risk pregnancies

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic EHR

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings

• Stay current with the latest advancements in maternal fetal medicine

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled

Required Qualifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician

• Active Mississippi state medical license

• Experience in managing complex, high-risk pregnancies

• Proficiency in interpreting obstetric ultrasounds

• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
