Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Obstetrics and Gynecology in Kansas

Job Title: Physician Job Specialty: OB/GYN Job Duration: 13 months Shift: 24 Hour Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Active Kansas license highly preferred Certifications: BLS, Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (0-5 years of residency completion), Active DEA Must-Have: - Clean malpractice/background preferred with self-inquiry NPDB report prior to offer - Procedure logs required with a minimum of 5 hysterectomies, 5 C-sections, and 50 deliveries in the past 24 months - Candidates must acknowledge EMR training requirements and complete them in the proper order Job Description: - Provide OB/GYN coverage in a clinical and inpatient call setting - Work 24-hour shifts from 7 am to 7 am, including all obstetrics and emergency gynecology and obstetric cases - Clinic work includes seeing OB/GYN patients for new obstetrics, established obstetrics, new gynecology issues, and surgical consultations - Perform all OB/GYN procedures, including more than five C-sections and hysterectomies in the last 24 months - Surgical blocks are scheduled twice per week for non-emergent surgeries, typically 4-6 per week - Collaborate with support staff, including Lab Techs, LPN/LVNs, MAs, X-ray Techs, RNs, and work with CRNAs and midwives - Engage in a 3.5-day per week clinic schedule with 2 half OR days - Participate in call rotations as per the schedule, including availabilities in June through December on specified dates - Complete EMR training modules, EUPA test, and PPL at least one week before the start date - Travel requirements include preferred lodging within 15 minutes of the hospital and the potential for air travel Note: The facility provides backup with skilled general surgeons and urologists. No NICU is available, with approximately 600 births per year (50 per month) managed.
