Pay Information
$200 to $260 per hour

About The Position

Details:

• Inpatient Psych (adult unit and adolescent unit), Hospital Consults, ER Consults NOT OPEN TO TELEHEALTH
• Will supervise APP
• Will take Call
• Average Number of Patients Per Day: 5-12
• Total Number of Beds: 18 adults, 5 adolescents
• How Many Psychiatrists in Your Group: 1 part-time inpatient right now
• How Many Advanced Practice Providers Support Your Group: 2
• How Many Psychologists: Zero, inpatient
• Documentation System/EMR: Cerner
• Trauma Level/Designation III
• Referral/Transfer Protocol: University of Iowa, 40 minutes by car
• Safety/Security Measures in Place: security on each campus
• Not accepting visa candidates
• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days

• Anxiety Disorders
• Affective Disorders
• ADD/ADHD
• Personality Disorders,
• Eating Disorders
• Developmental Disorders
• Psychotic Disorders
• Organic Disorders

Required to have familiarity with:

• Family Therapy
• Restraint Application
• Group Therapy
• Pharmacotherapy
• Seclusion therapy
• Voluntary Commitments
• ER

Schedule -

• Mon-Sun 8a-5p - Weeknight call and weekend call is possible.
• Need will be for June - ongoing
• Monday - Sunday
• Schedule: MUST work 7 days on/7days off and rotate coverage with the Physician.
• Provider will round in the morning, and every third day they will take a turn managing all hospital calls/consults, etc. (during shift hours)

Job Requirements

• Board Certified in Psychiatry - REQUIRED (Not accepting BE)
• Must be able to work 7 days on/7 days off - REQUIRED
• IA license or IMLC - REQUIRED
• Inpatient experience - REQUIRED
• Experience in treating patients ages 6 and up - REQUIRED
• State experience with conditions/treatments: Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Organic Disorders, Family Therapy, Restraint Application, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Seclusion therapy, Voluntary Commitments, ER - REQUIRED
• 2+ years of inpatient psych experience - highly preferred (list years of experience with IP Psych at time of name clear)
• Clean Malpractice/Background - REQUIRED
