Job Title: Locum Tenens Physician Job Specialty: Retina Specialist in Ophthalmology Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day - Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 40 Hours Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Board Certification Required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: - Board certification in Ophthalmology - Expertise in both non-surgical and surgical/invasive procedures Job Description: - Perform non-surgical and laser procedures - Conduct cryotherapy and laser treatments - Handle both anterior and posterior segment procedures - Utilize YAG laser treatments (preferred) - Perform surgical procedures such as phacoemulsification, extracapsular, and intracapsular extraction - Engage in vitreo-retinal procedures and intra-ocular injections - Interpret ophthalmology studies including ultrasound (A and B-Scan), B-Scan performance, photos interpretation, fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography Additional Information: - Non-surgical LASIK and Keratectomy (PRK or radial) required - No strabismus, plastic and orbital surgery, general orthopedics, or transplant required - Facility trauma level: 1, Pediatrics level: 0 - Estimated credentialing timeframe is around 90 days - Position requires interfacing with a well-trained support staff in a busy practice environment - Patient encounters per shift range from 25-28 This position requires strong skills in a diverse range of ophthalmic procedures and studies, ensuring comprehensive eye care and advanced treatment options for patients.
