About The PositionA facility in Northern Illinois is looking for a locum tenens Gastroenterologist to assist with coverage 1 week per month, ongoing. Candidates must be Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible. An active IL license or IMLC with LOQ in hand is required. Credentialing takes approximately 60 days.
The facility is located in northern Illinois.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with providers performing scopes during the day and seeing approximately 1316 patients daily. Call is shared with one permanent MD for weeknights and weekends. There is no anesthesiologist support; nurses administer conscious sedation under the locum's supervision. Responsibilities include rounding, variable consults throughout the day, and providing ED coverage. No APP supervision is required.
