Locum Physician

Job Title: Locum Otolaryngologist Profession: Physician Specialty: Otolaryngology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Thursday , Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours (Friday: 7 hours) Experience: Fellowship trained in Otolaryngology, experienced required License: Active Iowa License or Active IMLC required Certifications: Board Certified required Must-Have: - Availability for full-time coverage - 24-hour call coverage capability - Inpatient responsibilities Description: A locum Otolaryngologist is needed to provide coverage. The schedule includes clinic days from 3 to 5 shifts per month. Each shift lasts 24 hours. Clinic hours are from Monday to Thursday 0800 to 1700 and Friday 0800 to 1500. Procedure or OR days are scheduled for Fridays. On-call duties are 24/7. The position entails providing call coverage for ER and post-operative patients. Responsibilities include performing ENT-related surgeries and supporting clinic volume. The practice offers various procedures such as ear cleaning, post-operative care, and acute needs. A full-time audiologist is available on-site. Nursing support is 2:1, and there are two ancillary staff members per provider. Each provider has access to three exam rooms and procedure rooms. Medical imaging and lab pharmacy services are available. Expected daily clinic volume is between 15 to 25 patients, with appointments lasting 15 minutes each. The patient demographic includes adults in metro and rural areas. An electronic medical record system is utilized. Telehealth services are offered as well. Inpatient responsibilities are included in the position.
