Wellhart is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Trauma Surgery for a locum tenens position in South Carolina. This opportunity offers a 72-day assignment starting 05/05/2025, with 12-hour shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM, covering 1 to 3 weekends per month (Friday to Sunday). The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a diverse range of responsibilities including rounding, consults, and providing coverage in the ICU, ER, and OR. This role also requires proficiency with eClinicalWorks EMR, and has the potential for extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Conduct patient rounds in trauma and surgical units
  • Perform trauma surgery consults as needed
  • Provide coverage in the ICU, ER, and OR
  • Collaborate with trauma surgeons and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Utilize eClinicalWorks EMR for patient documentation and care coordination
  • Manage complex trauma cases and post-operative care
  • Participate in trauma response and emergency situations
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and safety
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and work assignments
