Responsibilities include comprehensive wound assessment, cleansing, dressing, culture collection, advanced wound care techniques, patient education, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. This role utilizes the Epic EMR system and offers the potential for extension beyond the initial 240-day period. Job Details: Location: Wisconsin Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: 05/12/2025 LOA: 240 days Provider Type Needed: Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours/week, no weekends, no call) Job Responsibilities and Duties: Conduct thorough wound assessments, including tissue condition, drainage, and pressure injuries Perform wound cleansing, irrigation, and dressing application Obtain wound culture specimens and address potential infections Execute wound debridement procedures Apply advanced wound care techniques, such as negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) and cellular/tissue-based products (CTPs) Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans Provide patient and family education on wound care, prevention, and management Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation using Epic EMR system Monitor wound healing progress and adjust care plans as needed Order and interpret diagnostic tests related to wound care Identify and address underlying factors affecting wound healing Perform contact casting and apply skin substitutes as required Work in an outpatient clinic setting Additional Information: Wisconsin nurse practitioner license required Experience in wound care essential Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team Comfortable with a consistent work schedule Potential for assignment extension Apply now to learn more Benefits:
