We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, skilled, and knowledgeable Locum Radiology Consultant to join a prestigious NHS trust.
In this role, you will act as an expert consultant, analyzing images to help diagnose, monitor, and treat various conditions, diseases, and injuries, working flexibly with a negotiable job plan.
You will work alongside a friendly, multidisciplinary team using advanced imaging technology such as CT, MRI, PET, and fusion imaging, pioneering innovative techniques.
As a specialist in the Radiology team, you'll have access to development and support packages to enhance your knowledge or explore new intervention techniques.
Qualifications and skills required include:
- GMC registration (not necessarily on the Specialist Register)
- Relevant experience at Consultant level or supporting references
- Evidence of right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
- Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check
Main duties include:
- Diagnosing, treating, and managing medical conditions using imaging
- Providing expertise and guidance to colleagues
- Collaborating with staff to ensure quality care
- Performing minimally invasive procedures and interventional treatments
- Supporting and communicating effectively with patients and families
- Leading or participating in multidisciplinary teams
- Assessing patient conditions and reporting changes
- Managing administrative tasks
