WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at Prestigious Hospital in Great Barrington, MA.
Job Function:
- Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation and document according to policy
- Prepare patients for surgery as requested
- Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, or anesthesiologists as needed
- Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques
- Operate, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation
- Take inventory and order surgical supplies as needed
Job Requirements:
- Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program
- Hold Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- BLS preferred (American Heart Association)
- 6-12 months experience as a Surgical Technologist
