Job Description
Job Title- Radiologic Technologist- X-Ray Tech
Location- Craig, CO
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for quality and efficient completion of radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation. The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing patient education, quality patient care, and meeting all regulatory compliance
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
Position Specific Performance Expectations:
o Demonstrates advanced knowledge in radiographic procedures including, but not limited to X-ray and Fluoroscopy, with C-arm, and OR work.
o May be required to perform other functions within the clinic. Any additional required training will be provided.
o Practices radiation safety, adhering to ALARA standards.
o Asks female patients if they are pregnant and protects them from harmful radiation.
o Performs QC in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
o Able to operate equipment consistent with manufacturer's recommendations.
o Performs all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or protocols the exam with the Radiologist.
o Assists with clerical duties and patient transportation when required.
o Answers the telephone, directs calls, and accurately records messages as needed.
o Assists, trains, or cross-trains imaging staff members as directed.
Required Education/Licensure/Certification:
o ARRT registration in Radiology (R).
o Current BLS Certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire or transfer).
Experience:
o Prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist, preferred.
o Technologist will be encouraged to cross-train into other modalities including, but not limited to: CT, MRI, DEXA, and Mammography.
General knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.
o Ability to learn and work with all electronic records including PACS and RIS/HIS.
