A hospital in beautiful Northeast Coastal Carolina is in need of a Hospitalist APP. Position: Hospitalist NP or PA Dates Coverage Is Needed: May 4-Sept 4 with the possibility to extend coverage further Schedule: Nights, Sunday-Thursday 2pm-10pm Opportunity Highlights include: Established hospitalist service inclusive of 2 physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers Average total inpatient census: 17-21 Average number of patients per day per APP: 8-10 Average number of admissions per day: 4-6 during the day and 5-7 at night No critical care responsibilities Locums will respond to codes but not in the ED Locums will not serve as back up in the Emergency Department but will consult on holds in the ED. BLS and ACLS are required Comprehensive medical staff including General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, ENT, Primary Care and Oncology This Facility is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season. Fully accredited, provides high quality care in a compassionate environment to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and has been nationally recognized for outstanding patient care.
