Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with various physical conditions to help them improve their mobility and quality of life. You will work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop effective care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
- Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings, incorporating patient goals and treatment objectives.
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall function.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, exercises, and self-care strategies.
- Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with medical standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings to facilitate comprehensive patient management.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and rehabilitation practices.
- Experience in outpatient and inpatient settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with care plans, discharge planning processes, and patient care protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and provide compassionate care to diverse patient populations.
Two years of recent PT experience required.
