Job Summary
Physical Therapist with competency with outpatient orthopedics is required, some subacute inpatient coverage as needed.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
Position Specific Performance Expectations:
- Meets the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with interdisciplinary team.
- Diagnose and manage movement dysfunction and enhance physical and functional abilities.
- Restore, maintain, and promote not only optimal physical function but optimal wellness and fitness and optimal quality of life as it relates to movement and health.
- Prevent the onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, conditions, or injuries
- Recommend use of assistive devices and provide gait training, as deemed necessary
- Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences.
- Documents patient care services via EMR charting using 'defensible documentation' in a timely and concise manner, in compliance with industry standards.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Active Colorado Physical Therapy License (DORA)
- Current CPR(BLS) certification (within 90 days of hire per MRH Policy).
