Shift Options: Either day shift (7:30 AM - 7:00 PM) or night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week
pay rate : $ 50 - $ 51 / hour on W2
job discerption: You must have at least 2 years of nursing experience. Oncology experience is required. ICU or PCU experience is also acceptable. You must have experience with high-acuity patients in a PCU or similar setting.
Certifications Required:
You must have a valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at the time of submission. Your nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
You need current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification.
Skills Required: You should be experienced with starting IVs, managing cardiac drips, central and PICC line care, blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation, and using rapid response teams. Respiratory and medication skills like chest tube care, tracheostomy management, high-flow oxygen, heparin protocols, and insulin drips may be needed.
Preferred Skills: Experience with chemotherapy, wound vacs, surgical drains, arterial line management, and phlebotomy is a plus, but not required.
Unit Details: The unit has 36 beds, with over 24 beds dedicated to PCU-level care.
Most patients are adults with cancer diagnoses including solid tumors, orthopedic, and thoracic oncology.
Pediatric patients are rare and will be cared for by permanent staff.
Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3 for PCU and 1:4-5 for MedSurg Telemetry.
Previous travel experience required.
