Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse Location: 901 W. Jackson St, Shelbyville, TN Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: Flexible; candidates should list availability on their resume or in notes. Flexible - 8hr shifts between 7am - 1:30am Job Summary: The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for delivering primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. This role includes conducting required health assessments, performing necessary screenings, and maintaining compliance with OSHA, state, and employee health record standards. The nurse will also support plant safety initiatives, provide health education and training, assist with workers' compensation cases, and maintain proper documentation. Key Responsibilities: Provide primary and emergency medical care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Conduct required health assessments and screenings, including drug and alcohol testing, spirometry testing, and audiometric testing. Maintain OSHA, state, and employee health records while ensuring confidentiality. Participate in workplace safety and ergonomic programs. Assist in developing and delivering health promotion education and training programs. Identify and assist in the management of workers' compensation cases, maintaining proper documentation. Travel occasionally to local clinics or hospitals as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Completion of a registered nursing program is required. Licensure: Must have a current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN). Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in occupational health nursing or a relevant nursing field is preferred. Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in computer use, including working with electronic medical documentation systems. Other Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills. Additional Information: Flexible scheduling available.
