Shift: 9a-930p Call: 11p-7a no more than once per week, Every 6th weekend on-call 7a-7p Saturday & Sunday, rotating with 7p-7a on-call Saturday & Sunday Required: BLS, ACLS, 2 years experience, NIH Work Experience (Basic): 2 years of acute care RN experience Work Experience (Desired): None Education (Required): Diploma or Associate Education (Desired): Certification (Required): Registered Nurse Certification (Desired): SKILLS Required:
• IV insertion
• Blood draws
• PICC/Central Line management:
• A-line management
• CVP
• IABP
• Cardioversion/defibrillation
• Procedural sedation
• CPAP/BiPAP
• Ventilators
• Trach Care
• Epidural/PCA pump
• Continuous bladder irrigation
• Wound vac
• Other skills needed?: Post anesthesia care experience Facility: NWCH Unit Name/Type of unit: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Selling points for the unit: Highly engaged and welcoming staff. beds/procedures: 23 PACU beds - approximately 50 cases per day Patient ratio: 2:1 on average - can be 1:1 as needed Does RN need to know how to read tele strips? YES Top diagnosis/procedures: Ortho total joint replacements, GYN and GYN oncology, general surgery Common equipment used: v/x monitoring, forced air warming, polar packs, PCA med pumps Does RN need to be able to titrate medication? YES Common medications given: Dilaudid, M/S, Fentanyl, Zofran EPCI Charting Scrub Color (are they provided): Galaxy Blue - not provided
