Compensation: $70-$75/hour

Amergis is seeking a qualified and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary and minor urgent care services at a Correctional Institution, a medium custody facility for adult patients (18+).

• Deliver primary care and minor urgent care services to adult inmates
• Work collaboratively with on-site medical staff and correctional personnel
• Utilize the HERO EMR system for documentation and patient management
• Maintain compliance with institutional and state healthcare regulations

• Licensure: Must hold an active and unrestricted North Carolina license (no exceptions)
• Certifications: BLS and DEA required

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year; preference for candidates with urgent care, emergency room, or extensive primary care experience

  
  

• Patient Volume: 8-10 patients per day
• Support Staff: 1 physician on-site
• EMR System: HERO

• On-call/Callback: Not required

  
  

• Interview Process: Interview with the Medical Director for the Eastern Region; includes a site visit

  
  
• Orientation: 2-3 weeks for Maxim credentialing; 1 week for HERO/computer training
