Position Summary:
We are seeking skilled and compassionate Emergency Department RNs to join a reputable hospital in Floresville, TX. This night shift role involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, ensuring quality outcomes through clinical excellence and strong patient advocacy. Candidates should possess solid acute care experience, clinical assessment expertise, and a calm, responsive approach to emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized, goal-directed nursing care based on nursing process and standards.
- Explain procedures and treatments to patients to ensure understanding and reduce anxiety.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, patient reactions, and condition changes; report findings promptly.
- Assist physicians during exams and emergency procedures.
- Prepare equipment, instruments, and rooms for treatments and procedures.
- Document assessments, patient history, nursing interventions, and outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions.
- Respond swiftly to life-saving situations, upholding all safety and clinical policies.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Current RN license in Texas (Required). Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. At least 1 year of experience in emergency services as a direct care provider. Demonstrated proficiency in acute care and emergency nursing. Strong clinical assessment skills and multitasking capabilities. Willingness to act as Charge RN when needed.
