Full Time Permanent Nuclear Medicine Technologist Position
Job Description
A Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT(N) is responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. The role ensures high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient safety and adhering to regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in nuclear medicine.
- Certified by ARRT(N) or NMTCB.
- Proficient in operating nuclear medicine equipment and related software.
- Knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, and cross-sectional imaging techniques for attenuation correction.
- Skilled in administering radiopharmaceuticals safely.
- Effective communication abilities with patients across all age groups and backgrounds.
- Demonstrates empathy and patience with anxious or uncooperative patients.
- Capable of assessing image quality and troubleshooting issues during scans.
- Quick and effective decision-making in emergency situations.
- Accurate positioning of patients and setup of equipment.
- Precise and thorough documentation of procedures in patient records.
