Nuclear Medicine Technologist New York, NY (Midtown Manhattan)
Location: 1.5 miles from the Empire State Building
Pay Range: $53-$57 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time Outpatient Clinic Setting
We are seeking a licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our cutting-edge outpatient mental wellness clinic in Midtown Manhattan, New York. Located just minutes from the Empire State Building, this is a great opportunity to work in the heart of NYC while helping patients improve their mental health through advanced brain imaging. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform brain SPECT scans with consistent quality control
- Prepare IVs and administer radiopharmaceutical doses
- Process and print scan images daily before end of shift
- Maintain accurate records and manage Odyssey imaging system
- Perform daily constancy, wipe tests, and radiation surveys
- Handle hot lab operations, including isotope management
- Conduct required calibrator tests (leak, linearity, geometry, accuracy)
- Monitor and maintain medical and nuclear medicine supply inventory
Requirements: - Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist License in New York
- Experience working in outpatient or clinic-based settings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to interact professionally with children and adults
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Familiarity with brain imaging is preferred
- Experience with Picker Prism 3000 system is a plus
